Vaibhav Suresh Raut, former student of RAGC is representing India at WorldSkills Competition, Kazan

“A dream doesn’t become reality through magic, it takes sweat, determination and hardwork.’’
Such has been the story of a young lad Vaibhav Raut, hailing from a humble background in the outskirts of the city of Mumbai. Belonging to a family of four, Vaibhav’s father works as a fitter in a workshop, mother a homemaker and sister, a college student. With a zeal to shine bright in the world and a vision to become the best Electrical Engineer in the world, Vaibhav joined the Diploma course at RAGC. Embarking on this journey of learning, Vaibhav has always been an avid learner and an even better performer. His work enhanced with each practical session he performed which comprised of him visiting the local electrician to get a better understanding of the trade and polishing his skills by performing every practical at least ten times for seven hours.
His journey in the competitive arena began at the CII regional competition, Bangalore. That was just the beginning of the laurels for this lad which ultimately led him to outrun 61 competitors and bag the Gold Medal at the India Skills Competition, 2018. He thanks his parents and mentors Mr. Sanket and Mr. Madan who were a constant source of support and motivation for him. Vaibhav strongly feels that vocational education gives an individual hands on practical experience and he gives equal importance to both marks and skills. This rising star of RAGC will now represent India at WorldSkills competition, Kazan. We wish Vaibhav all the good luck and pray that he makes his family and mentors proud. Hardwork never goes unnoticed and Vaibhav’s story is one such true example of it.
